I have had the pleasure of working with AssuranceMD for the past 15 years. When I opted to bring my billing in-house, I interviewed several software companies. I was impressed with Mr. Cutrona’s professionalism and the MicroMD practice management software. Over the years, the program has continued to evolve, always keeping pace with the ever-changing industry. Four years ago, I made the switch to EMR and engaged with a large and well-known company. The EMR application included a proprietary billing system. On the surface, it was more economical to use the new EMR billing software, but it quickly became apparent that what was gained in dollars was sorely lost in time needed to complete the same work. This “top-rated” software was literally doubling the time my staff needed to do the same work with MicroMD. I decided to keep the EMR but continue to use MicroMD for billing. Perhaps most importantly, when a personal crisis disrupted my family and practice, Mr. Cutrona immediately and without question, temporarily took over my billing. Through the years, I have always been impressed with his response and attentiveness when issues arose, but this was clearly above and beyond what would be expected.
In a short period of time, AssuranceMD has lived up to their promise. Their team focused immediately on improving the claims process by implementing electronic billing. In addition, Crystal patiently and thoroughly took over the credentialing process and in a matter of weeks, she accomplished more than the previous company had been able to complete. She lived up to her promise from day one and I am now able to ”just be the doctor to my patients.” What I appreciated most about working with Assurance MD is their ability to streamline the credentialing process and walk me through steps to more effectively utilize my Prism database. In a very short period of time, I am confident that moving my billing and collections process to AssuranceMD was one of the best decisions I have made for my practice and my patients. The biggest benefit and most significant change I’ve experienced is my cash flow. After just two months it is steady and improved, something my prior billing service could not accomplish.
